Our Mission
To provide families living with autism spectrum disorders a place that understands, offers advocacy and support, while serving as a resource in the community.
Upon learning that a child has been diagnosed with autism, families are confronted numerous questions such as:
*What now?
*Can I handle this as a parent?
*Who can I talk to who understands what I'm going through?
*Why do I feel so alone?
*Where can I go for this therapy?
*Can I afford to raise a child with autism?
*And many more
Often the challenges of being a parent of a child on the autism spectrum disorders are foreign to others and lost in the middle of this, are making sure that family members themselves receive much needed support from peers. Autism 4 Families (A4F) is such that place, offering support group meetings so that parents can share experiences, learn from one another and discover what resources are available in their community.
